Trust in the Unknown: Elayna Carausu on Trading Stability for Adventure

Elayna and her partner, Riley, have been sailing around the world and filming their lives for their incredibly popular YouTube channel, Sailing La Vagabonde, since 2014. With 1.35 Million subscribers watching their weekly videos, Elayna, Rilley and their adorable toddler son Lenn, let the world into their adventure, as well as their daily lives. Elayna always knew she was meant to live a different kind of life. Growing up in Australia, she fell in love with the ocean, which inspired a sense of wanting more. Exploring her love of the open sea, Elayna experimented with scuba diving, freediving and eventually sailing. When she took a job for a summer in Greece, she met Riley, who shared a similar view of the world. After returning to Australia, she consulted with a few friends that convinced her to take a chance and join Riley back in Greece. The rest, as they say, is history.

Special Edition: Finding Nourishment and Support In Times of Confusion, Fear, Panic and Uncertainty

This is a Special Edition of Your Space, because we all need a little extra support and nourishment right now. Find a quiet place, take a deep breath and just listen. “All over the world people are slowing down and reflecting. All over the world people are looking at their neighbours in a new way. All over the world, people are waking up to a new reality. To how big we really are. To how little control we really have. To what really matters. To love. So we pray and remember that.” These powerful words from Father Richard Hendrick will help set the tone for what we should be focusing on instead of fear. I know it’s hard, and it’s ok to be scared. But let’s lean on each other and let our fear be the catalyst for hope. In this special edition of Your Space, I will be your guide through this easy meditation and emotional healing process. Follow me, as I take you towards getting your body realigned, your mind relaxed and your soul stirred.
